Privacy policy

This site is operated by BenchTested. It is a gear-review publication. We keep the data we collect to the minimum the site needs to work.

What we collect

Email address — only if you type it into the newsletter form. It is stored with Brevo, our email provider, and used to send guides. Nothing else. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes you from the list.

Outbound link clicks — product links route through our own /go/ redirect so we can see which guides earn their keep. We record which link was followed, not who followed it. There is no cross-site tracking, no advertising pixel and no profile built about you.

Standard request logs — our host, Cloudflare, records ordinary web-server data such as IP address and user agent for security and abuse prevention, under its own policy.

What we do not do

We do not sell or share personal data. We do not run advertising trackers. We do not attempt to identify individual readers.

Third parties

Amazon (affiliate links you choose to follow), Brevo (email), and Cloudflare (hosting) each handle data under their own policies.

Your choices

Unsubscribe from any email to be removed from the list. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, use the contact address on our disclosure page.
